Axiom Trade fees: cashback, slippage and total trading cost

A verified breakdown of Axiom's published platform fee, tier cashback, priority fees, slippage and MEV settings for Solana traders.

Verified brief2 primary sources reviewed

What matters most

  • Axiom currently publishes a 1% gross platform charge, reduced by tier cashback to a 0.95–0.75% net platform rate.
  • Priority fees, validator tips, slippage and price impact sit outside the headline platform rate.
  • The relevant figure is the complete buy-and-sell cost for the intended order size, not the best published tier.

Axiom's published platform fee

Axiom's official fee schedule currently starts with a 1% platform charge on trading volume. The provider returns part of that charge as SOL cashback according to the user's tier, publishing a net platform rate from 0.95% at the first tier to 0.75% at the highest listed tier.

The lowest rate should not be used as a default assumption. Calculate with the tier that the account actually qualifies for and confirm the live transaction preview, because fee schedules and eligibility can change after publication.

Why the round-trip cost matters

A percentage platform fee applies when entering and again when exiting. At a 0.95% net rate on each side, the platform component alone creates an approximate 1.9% hurdle before network-side costs, slippage and price movement are considered.

The fee is charged on the value traded at each step, so the exact cash result changes with the exit value. Galeora's Trading Cost Calculator is designed to combine both sides of the trade with the other execution assumptions instead of simply doubling a headline percentage.

Priority fees, tips and slippage are separate

Axiom's market-order documentation exposes settings for priority fees, validator tips or bribes, slippage and MEV protection. These are execution controls and costs distinct from the platform fee. Paying more for transaction inclusion does not guarantee a favourable token price or a successful exit.

For small positions, a fixed priority payment can represent a large effective percentage. For larger orders, price impact and available liquidity may dominate. Record the quoted token output and every fee shown before confirmation, then compare the result with a slower or more liquid route.

Cashback reduces cost; it does not remove risk

Tier cashback can lower the net platform charge, but it does not offset a poor fill, a token loss or an inability to sell. Treat cashback as a fee adjustment after eligibility is verified rather than as trading profit.

Do not increase volume merely to reach a higher tier. The additional spread, slippage and market exposure can exceed the incremental cashback, especially when trading newly launched or thinly traded tokens.

A practical pre-trade checklist

Verify the token contract, pool liquidity, holder concentration and wallet permissions first. Then enter the actual order size, expected buy and sell prices, current net platform rate, priority payments and realistic slippage into the calculators.

Set a maximum acceptable all-in cost and a loss limit before opening the position. If the trade only looks attractive when the highest cashback tier, perfect execution or an optimistic exit price is assumed, it does not have a robust margin of safety.

Frequently asked questions

What trading fee does Axiom charge?

Axiom currently publishes a 1% gross platform charge and tier cashback that produces a 0.95–0.75% net platform rate. Verify the account's current tier and live quote.

Does the Axiom fee include priority fees and slippage?

No. Priority payments, validator tips, slippage, price impact and network costs are separate from the published platform rate.

Is the Axiom fee charged when selling?

The platform rate applies to trading volume, so model the platform cost on both the entry and exit rather than only on the first purchase.

Does MEV protection guarantee the quoted price?

No. Protection settings can change transaction routing or reduce some attack exposure, but they do not guarantee execution, liquidity or a favourable price.
